How does the Gun Thruster work?

The spaceship 3000 was sent out to space on a mission to try and protect all the in space satellites . In order to move the space ship needs the gun thruster. The gun thruster provides power to the ship it creates heat flames which then exhilarate the ship forward.

The gun thruster consists of various parts. It concludes of a metal frame which then stores the hot air bubbles and generates heat flames. There is also long red tubes which provides the frame of the gun fuel. These are the most important parts without including all the bolts and screws which hold the gun thruster together

The gun thruster is a important component of the space ship. It involves red tubes which generate heat and process the fuel from the nostril boiler to the gun thruster. When the fuel is heated up this causes hot bubbles in the centre of the gun. As a result of the hot bubbles this leads to a blaze of fire, which then forces the spaceship forward making it move.

The gun thruster was first invented in 1768 by Albert Einstein. He designed and created it in England, the purpose of the gun thruster in 1768 was so could Albert Einstein create he very own jet. After months of testing it the gun thruster was to powerful and to dangerous to fly. In a years time Albert designed the gun thruster for space ships and planes. It is the most popular jet engine in the world and cost over $50,000 dollars.

My MUST goals for Term 2

These are the goals I MUST be able to achieve by the end of term two.

G1) Last term in term 1 we did an inquiry based on the Treaty Of Waitangi, This involved staying focused, listening and working hard. This term I am wanting to use all of these strategies to help me give a better standard of work.

G2) This term I must practice and rehearse my maths and try harder to learn new learning strategies to expand on my maths knowledge.

G3) As I am house captain. This term I am aiming to become a better role model to the younger children and really support them in Cross Country.

G4) The average writing age for a year 8 is a level 4 this term I am aiming for every piece of writing I do to be at that standard.

G5) Another goal for me is that I should put more personal refection in my work.

G6) What I want out of term 2 is to put my hand up more and get more evolved in class discussion and to be able to share my ideas.

G7) Out of this term I think I should become more confident in drama and in arts rotation.

G8) I also think I need to try harder in learning languages for example French, Spanish and Maori.

G9) I think that I could also join the enviro schools seeing as this is on the opportunities list for this term.

G10) I think that I could try harder in bringing my work in on time and fulling them to the highest standard I can perform.

Our Vist To Te papa

Yesterday the Senior School visited Te Papa Museum. We went to the European Masters exhibit and studied all the art in preparation for Arts Week. We also went to Blood, Earth, Fire to learn about the history of New Zealand. Then we went to the Treaty of Waitangi and studied some of the history of that to help us with some of our inquiry. Lastly we went to the Brian Brake exhibit to see the whole purpose of his photos. Brian Brake is a New Zealander who is world-famous for his photos.I really liked the photo The Kremlem Church by Brain Brake as it shows such a beautiful Russian night.

The Life of Riley

“ Be happy with what you got” is the theme that Muritai School did for there production, based on the book “ The Short and Incredibly Happy Life of Riley” by Colin Thompson. Muritai School really brought the book to life. You don’t know what to expect when you see such a big primary school taking such a big task. The show was fantastic.

Having Mr Chadwick dancing in front of us was already a crazy and a funny experience, but then having a clash of Beyonce and Michael jackson thriller was hilarious. I was so excited.

The story was perfect for a school, learning to be happy with what you got is a great story line. It is about a guy called Norman who is sad and wants more in life and then he meets Colin who tells him about Riley who is the happiest person in the world. The book tells an adventure of Norman who learns to be happy with a lot less.

I was nervous I knew I would only be on for about 5 minutes, but I was still scared that I was going to muck up, go to fast, go to slow, be I was nervous I knew I would only be on for about 5 minutes, but I was still scared that I was going to muck up, go to fast, go to slow, be in the wrong place. I’d done a performance before but this was totally different because the people on the opposite side of those dark green curtains were people I knew.

As the year seven and eights performed our last dance. I was buzzing seeing faces I knew beaming and clapping louder than ever. I couldn't see why i had been so nervous, I was having the time of my life.

Memories

Wild waves wash with wisdom,
Sand swishing swaying in silence,
The tide tumbling to my toes,
Gazing goes,
And Autumn appears,
Searching for summer,
I reappear,

Then I noticed,
In the sand,
My florescent pink board,
Outdoing the silky golden sand,

Clutching my board,
I float in the rushing water,
Thinking of my younger sister,

Explanation Term 2

Term two, well, it has sure been busy, but we are up to date. In the past few weeks we have been loaded high with cross-country, evaluation writing, portfolios, carter observatory visit and the big topic of the term, was science fairs, I did my science fair on ‘How does rainfall effect streams’ I am really happy because I got chosen in the top 20 in the whole 7 and 8 side and so did my sister.

It is halfway through the term and I have participated and contributed in lots of activities. The biggest sport event for me was running in the cross-country. I am really proud of my placing because I came second in the year seven girls race. I then went to the Inter zone and came 14th. I could not stop beaming that day, I think I still am.

Explanation writing has been an interesting way of writing and I am really pleased with all three writing samples I have produced. I think that my Matariki explanation was my best produced work out of all three samples of work.

Next term I aim to get more involved in class discussion and improve on my writing and grammar. I am also aiming to work hard on all areas especially my maths.

To sum up this term is way to hard but there is one word that finishes it off it is fantastic this term was amazing, I can not wait till next term but I still want my holiday.
